PCI entered the heavy structures industry in the late 1970s. Today, PCI is a leader in building bridges in Iowa and beyond.

PCI demolished an existing bridge and constructed a new bridge along the Union Pacific Railroad. PCI and Ground Improvement Engineering (GIE) designed a temporary shoring system along the existing railroad track.
As the General Contractor, PCI constructed a 7,800-linear ft-long soldier pile and lagging permanent shoring system with 2 to 3 rows of tiebacks. PCI excavated the underpass and placed the bridge beams.
PCI was the General Contractor for the second-ever Iowa DOT lateral bridge slide project in Kalona, Iowa. PCI completed the bridge construction in 10 days. See video below, too.
